Borescope Visual Inspection

Internal inspection of the insulation condition of your rotating machines

A borescope inspection is an optical system, which uses a rigid or flexible camera sensor, to allow visibility of a rotating machine’s internal condition.

Borescope inspection is a highly effective technique for visually assessing the internal condition of rotating machines without requiring extensive disassembly. Using a specialised camera (borescope) inserted into suitable access points, this method allows for detailed visual examination of the stator winding end region and rotor ends without pulling the rotor. Defects identified during the on-line or offline testing can often be verified and further located and understood through this complementary technique.
