Field Service Engineer

Monitra has an exciting opportunity, based in our USA Office, The Woodlands, TX (although travel is required) for a Field Service Engineer to join our growing US team.

The role involves providing condition-based testing on high voltage equipment, alongside installing and commissioning our range of sensors and monitoring equipment at client sites countrywide.

We anticipate regular travel to customer sites across the US. When not travelling/on-site you may be expected to attend our office in The Woodlands, TX.

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

  • Installing and commissioning sensors and monitoring solutions
  • Troubleshoot and configuring Monitra’s PD monitoring systems
  • Conducting On-line PD, Off-line PD, MCSA, Tan Delta, IR, HV Asset Assessment Tests
  • Providing data analysis for customer reports
  • Efficient administration responsibilities such as supporting quotations, preparing briefings, completing reports, timesheets and expenses
  • Provide high levels of customer service including technical support

Full training on our products and procedures will be provided.

All staff are expected to always work to Company procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in commissioning / testing.
  • Knowledge of HV testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions related to working with HV electrical equipment.
  • Self-management of assigned projects and ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Strong computer skills including report writing.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA and be willing to travel.
